I’m delighted to share with you the images from Sydney wedding photographer AMELIA SOEGIJONO’S recent workshop in Paris. Captured at CHATEAU DE SANTANY, and tells the fictional love story of Aurora & Nathaneal.
The story behind the shoot, “Aurora and Nathanael are bound together by their love for classical music and passion for travel. Their love has been separated by the ocean for years. To soothe her longing soul, Nathanael used to tell Aurora to gaze at the night sky, look for Polaris – a star whom the universe revolves around – and know that she is his universe. By gazing at Polaris, she will find him in her heart. Now finally they are together in the city of love – Paris – and getting married in an ethereal castle, where Nathanael grew up as a child. Nathanael plays fondly with his vintage toy aeroplane he used to play with as a boy on the steps of his childhood home as he gets himself ready to enter a new chapter in his life as a grown man. Aurora shows a glimpse of her world by serenading him with her ethereal music
Aurora shines beautifully as she prepares to wear her first gown, a luxurious yet simple statement fashion gown by ALON LIVNE from VIVIENNE PARIS. We photographed a unique take on a boudoir shoot with Aurora stepping on the soaring window of the chateau as she held on her dress; representing strength, vulnerability and beauty. The stars daintily gracing her face are subtle, yet make such an impact. For her reception gown, Aurora transformed into a couture gown fit for a queen by FERICCI OFFICIAL and our fashion stylist ALEXANDER GOTAMA paired it with a veil turban to make a statement.
Aurora wears graceful shoes from Bridal shoe designer BELLA BELLE SHOES and she is surrounded by ethereal flowers created by LAURE GUINGAND. SAMANTHA BOTTELIER EVENTS created a fairy tale like reception table with the softest of colours, featuring a whimsical hand-drawn illustration of the Chateau by INKBERRY CALLIGRAPHY. Their union is celebrated with bursts of beautiful soft blooms in the tones of whites, creams and nude blush, under the summer sky. Aurora and Nathanael’s story will be bright – just like the Polaris star.”
